[NEWS] RIHANNA RELEASES NEW ALBUM EARLY

News
Following the release of first single Work yesterday, Rihanna’s long awaited new album Anti was apparently uploaded by mistake on streaming platform Tidal last night. Mistake or not, though, it was up again this morning, complete with a free download link and a Tame Impala cover, if the tracklist is to be trusted.

Pop’s self-confessed bad girl’s decision to completely omit from the album the three tracks to have come out already (FourFiveSeconds, American Oxygen and Bitch Better Have My Money, in case you’d already forgotten about them) came as a shock to not only fans but most people, really. It didn’t seem too popular on social media or in the few reviews to have already been written either, but adding 12 new tracks to be excited about to first single Work might have been the smartest move to make.

You can find out for yourself whether or not it was worth the three years wait by downloading it – again, for free – on Tidal’s website here. (add link to ‘here’ http://rihanna.tidal.com/redeem/?voucher=ANTI)

[NEWS] SECOND WAVE OF READING AND LEEDS ACTS ANNOUNCED

News

Following the first wave of announcements late last year, the legendary festival revealed more acts that will be playing this year.

Acts include indie poster boys Two Door Cinema Club and one of 2014’s favourite acts Imagine Dragons. Also added to the bill, Parkway Drive, Fetty Wap, Nothing But Thieves, Jack Ü, Crystal Castles, Oliver Helens, Hannah Wants and The Internet.

However, the main feature of the announcement was that Foals and Disclosure will co-headline one of the nights, along with Red Hot Chili Peppers. The final headliner yet to be released.

Speaking to Newsbeat, Guy Lawrence (Disclosure) said that landing this headline slot was “humongous” and that having a dance act such as themselves playing on the main stage of what is predominantly a rock festival is a massive achievement.

Reading and Leeds festival takes place 26th-28th of August. For ticket purchases or anymore more information check the official festival website. Links below.

[NEWS] KANYE WEST REVEALS SWISH TRACKLISTING

News

As the release date for SWISH gradually gets closer and closer, Kanye West has decided to reveal to his eager fans the highly anticipated tracklisting to his 7th studio album.

There’s been a lot of speculation recently about whether Kanye will in fact follow through with his promise of a Feb 11th release for his album SWISH, after a year of broken promises and false hope, but with this tracklisting posted directly from his Twitter, it seems that he’s going to actually follow through with his release promise.

Read bellow the tracklisting:

  1. Nina Chop
  2. Father Stretch My Hands
  3. Waves
  4. High Lights
  5. 30 Hours
  6. No More Parties In L.A.
  7. Fade
  8. FML
  9. Real Friends
  10. Wolves

It’s quite the interesting tracklisting full of intriguing titles and anticipation. The first thing core fans may notice is the lack of appearance from All Day and Only One, the only two songs Kanye had released officially last year.  Other previewed songs such as Wolves and Fade, which premiered at his ADIDAS fashion show, have made the tracklisting.

Kanye self described this album as the “greatest album of all time” whether this statement is true or not will not be decided until Feb 11th, one thing we can’t deny is that this album has been highly anticipated for over a year now and the excitement is completely justified. Bring on SWISH, it’s about time.

Because for five—not even for five years, for ten years, this album has been in my brain, and it’s just been there, sat with me, needing to be out.”

It’s a long road ahead, but I WILL play drums again. Can’t wait to get back on the kit. Couldn’t have dealt with this without the love and support from my brothers in TGI & crew, friends, fans and family. Thank you all.”
