After thirty years, just as the future was looking bleak, Abba are to return to our lives.
Everybody has heard of Abba and everybody knows all the words to at least one of their 70s bangers. At the time of their music they were ahead of their time leading the way for the synth movement of the 80s and once again Abba are looking to mould the future. The band has announced that they will be working alongside The Spice Girls old manager Simon Fuller and will include the original four Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The project is being described as “a groundbreaking venture that will utilise the very latest in digital and virtual-reality technology”.
Singer Lyngstad has said “I hope this new Abba creation will excite them as much as it excites me”. Abba split up in 1982 after a worldwide success of ten years, they returned to the stage together in June of this year to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
Full details of their reunion will be released early 2017.
