Frank Iero has announced that the rest of his 2016 tour will be cancelled after being seriously injured in a traffic accident last week.

The former My Chemical Romance guitarist was set to play at Sydney’s Metro Theatre with his new band Frank Iero and The Patience last Thursday when they were tragically hit by a bus.

After the incident Frank said on his personal twitter that everyone is ‘miraculously alive’ but ‘pretty banged up’. Despite this, the band have had to cancel the rest of their North American tour.

A statement was posted on My Chemical Romance’s twitter saying that two of Frank’s bandmates are having to undergo surgery.

The band’s latest singles Remedy and I’m A Mess from their upcoming album Parachutes is available now. The album is set to be released on October 28.
