[TRACK REVIEW] RAT BOY – MOVE

Jordan Cardy and co. have had quite the impressive last year, from getting signed to Parlophone records to touring the UK with The 1975 and more recently RAT BOY have been tapped by numerous outlets to be one of the biggest names to look out for in 2016. He continues to keep this buzz alive by releasing a brand new song titled Move, that premiered on Huw Stephen’s BBC Radio 1 show.

The track is one of the best from the collective so far. It’s a dated 80’s throwback type, kicking off straight away with Cardy’s tongue-n-cheek aggression stating that “he never says the same thing twice” and then goes on to repeat the line. Move is very Beastie Boys-esque with it’s distorted groove and not-giving-a-fuck type of lyrical delivery.

RAT BOY have very much given us a track that’ll make our heads spin and legs move. He has us all where he needs us and let’s hope he keeps us there because this debut could be one to remember.
