Stereophonics and Faithless are the latest bands to join the line-up for next year’s Isle of Wight Festival. The two bands will co-headline on the Friday night and join previously announced Sunday night headliner Queen with Adam Lambert.
It will be the second time that Welsh rock outfit Stereophonics have headlined the event, with their last appearance being in 2009. Speaking about the upcoming performance, frontman Kelly Jones enthused: “I love playing the Isle of Wight Festival. I got to steer the boat over last time. Captain of the ship and honked the horn! Only the captain gets to honk the horn. This will be our third time at the festival…. I’ll leave my white suit at home this time though!”
Also playing on the same night will be London electronic dance trio, Faithless, who last played the Isle of Wight event ten years ago. In a statement regarding the festival, the band said: “We can’t wait to return to play such an iconic festival for the second time. We were proud to be part of its re-launch in 2005 and it’s an absolute pleasure to be invited back.”
Tickets for the event are on sale now, with many more acts still to be announced, including Saturday night’s headliner.
