Sweden’s force-to-be-reckoned-with Elliphant (Ellinor Olovsdotter to her parents) has dropped her latest single Club Now Skunk, an explosively blistering collaboration with New Orleans’ Bounce Queen Big Freedia. A complete direction change from previous single/mega-ballad Love Me Badder, Elliphant has turned her attention back to the weird, jittering beats that caught everyone’s ear back in 2012 with Tekkno Scene and the Diplo penned Revolusion. Lifted from Olovsdotter’s (proper) debut Living Life Golden, the genre-blending three-minute banger was produced with Tommy Tysper and Joel Little, the latter being responsible for work on Lorde’s debut.
Sadly, there’s still no confirmed release date for the LP, but “Club Now Skunk” can be streamed below.
