[TRACK REVIEW] SPLASHH – PURE BLUE

Splashh return with the deliciously distorted and hypnotically hazy Pure Blue. It’s been a while since their 2013 debut album Comfort but over the past few months the London via Australia band have been teasing their second LP with this track and another titled Colour It In. Pure Blue – which is available for pre-order on 12” vinyl – isn’t a wild sonic departure from Comfort, but the stretching synths and fuzzy percussion elements do sound more mature. Splashh are currently supporting Birmingham band Peace, alongside YAK, on their lengthy UK tour. New material is promised by the band very soon
