[ALBUM REVIEW] Foster The People – Supermodel

SUPERMODEL

Cheerful Los Angelites Foster The People have succumbed to the crushing pressure of a follow up album. A misstep in a more dimmed down LP from their debut ‘Torches’ (and a lot less fun), the first segment delivers unexciting loose psychedelic dance pop which doesn’t solder well with an inconsistent folk lick of Vampire Weekend on their most subtle tempo offering nothing more than a comforting melodic handshake onwards.

‘Best Friend’ & ‘Coming Of Age’ restore little potential of a household name they were truly on track to become. Too many crummy electric rumbles that should have never made it past the demo stage.
