SINGLE REVIEW: Paloma Faith – Can’t Rely On You

Paloma Faith review

Paloma is back with her lead single Can’t Rely On You from her third album A Perfect Contradiction released on the 10th March.

The song is produced by Pharrell Williams, who is highly recognisable in his productions. The song reminds me of Blurred Lines. But Paloma adds her own still back into it in the video and voice. All of her elements make us forget about the dancy song to let ourselves merge into this deep, dark, mid tempo song that innovates her style. Can’t Rely On You follows the same theme expressed by

Paloma in almost all of her songs, love, loss of trust and broken relationships. The tune produced by Pharrell has recently received back lash for sounding like Franz Ferdinand’s Take Me Out. The riffs are similar but which songs these days haven’t got recycled elements in them anyway.
